I've been playing this game more than two years and I still don't get what I'm doing wrong with my putts. I can't get any birdies to go in the hole as they always fall short. No matter what I do and I've literally tried everything. I add a foot here and there and it goes to far, I take take some feet off and it falls short. I've moved the cursor around to adjust to the grid and I still fall short. I can get on the fairway and the green pretty easily by my putting is frustrating. Can someone give me a tip on how to stop falling short every time?

No great tip I'm afraid, except hit it harder, if it don't reach it won't fall.

There is some great putting tips here in the forum, but its like a lottery if you use the search.

I'd advise using 3 wedges equally spaced, then you'd get shorter putts.

You have to find yourself a formula ( search) and perfect it so you can hit a 15-20 yrd putt to within 1 ft every time on the flat.

This is the easy part on very fast greens:

length (feet) +/- elevation (inches!), divided by 1,2 = length on the meter.

    Some help:

Printable putter scales and ruler (lower part of first post).

And then: Practice, practice & practice!

Sammy, sorry you are having trouble. Putting is the hardest part of golf period. First, you need to get the ball closer to the pin on approach shots. This can be done with better irons and wedges. Also the spider putter (IMHO) is the worse putter on wgt. I know all this advice cost money but that is the way the game plays. Have Fun, its just a game.

When I first started,  I read this post in the Faqs.  Read those puttings tips... then read it again and again

There is also quite a few great posts in the forum somewhere....  which you will have to search.
