I am a master stuck at 64.58, and am probably saturated as no score changes my average but recently just to see if i could make my average drop any i played 2 9 holers and 1 18 hole on the best of the par 3's with scores of 25 and 29 for 9 holes and 58 for 18 holes, i am not in a hurry to get to tour master yet as 63 to 64 is presently a very good score for me but was wondering how many sub 64's do i have to shoot to get my average to drop any.

Par 3s and Par 5s don't affect your average...

If you play nothing but 18 hole rounds you need a total of 40 rounds of 63. For each 62 you post you can post one 64.

If you play 9 hole rounds you can get to 63.00 average with 20 rounds of 31 and 20 rounds of 32 (or numerous other combinations if you shoot some 30s or 29s).

    It's not that hard Edward!

    True: 40 rounds, 63 average. Alas, I had 2x 65 and 21x64 in my final master average, compensated by a single 58 (29), 4x 60(30), 10x 62(31) and 2x 63.

Thus, "only" 15 rounds below the necessary number :)
