This is quite possibly the worst golf game I have ever had the displeasure of playing. I've reached level 19 and am disgusted with how poorly this game plays. None of the clubs hit anywhere near the distance they're rated for, even in the near impossible event of getting an "excellent" swing. The meter is just ridiculously fast. I've tried the "E-Z" clubs and they hit the ball in so many random directions it's just laughable. Back-spin does not work 99% of the time, hitting out of a bunker or weeds results in a LOT of 0-1 yard shots even at full power and an "excellent" swing. Putting is horrible!!! The greens indicator lines seem to have no bearing on the actual travel of the ball.....2 puts from similar distance showing similar indicators will result in 1 ball coming up very short and curving off by a huge amount, the other ball will run 20 feet past the cup with virtually no curving at all.

Game needs to have a MUCH better set of starting equipment! It also needs a better way of selecting power and hook/slice and needs the mechanics seriously tuned!

The game is visually appealing, but that's about the only thing I can think of in the "plus" column. Pretty much seems to be just another "cash grab" game that expects people to spend hundreds of dollars on in game items to make the game even remotely playable!

Should read "am disgusted with how poorly I play this game". Have you read any of the playing tips all over this site. You can earn plenty of credits without spending a penny. Take some time to learn the game like so many other players. You'll soon see its not really that hard of a game.

    What you say Zio!

With appropriate practice and talent a player may be able to break Par on every course with Starter equipment from mid tees & under "uneven lies" condition - look up "Shiner's uneven" tournaments in the forum. M, you certainly have talent!

Us mortals still have the cost-free view & feel to play those coveted courses which, in real life, is

    - either impossible for most (Oakmont, Olympic, Merion)

    - or overly expensive (St.Andrews, St.Georges...), not speaking of travel.

And yes, WGT is a business with the intention to earn money, "free game" is always challenged by the spending options. Ev1 decides on his own how much to spend for his fun & leisure. Hint: It's cheaper than a night in the town in the long run.

Your decision to stay or leave.

I don't see the OP's point at all, he's doing a lot better than I did at the beginning.

There are people who have reached master with starter clubs. Instead of worrying about what he can't do he should concentrate on getting better with the equipment he has now.He has the potential to be very good at this game, if he drops the victim mentality. Rome wasn't built in a day. Unlike a TWO pro 'career'.

Just a shame EA closed the online TW in june, so now only wgt is available to play online multiplayergolf!

Head up MGolfer my first rounds i went +11 and more on 9 and +23++ on a full, it takes time to find the putts and lines on all courses!
