Actually, JN, it could very well be that in order to combat any "auto-dinger"software they have programmed additional deviation into the game for a player who hits above a certain % of dings or a certain # of dings in a row.
I'm not saying that's the case but such a scenario could be programmed to occur automatically with no human intervention on WGTs part.
srellim, you may well be right my friend.
I can't speak for WGT of course, however assuming the VAST majority (i hope) of players do not use any auto-ding ( i have to admit...i have no bloody idea if such a thing even exists)..then it would be ever so slightly daft to program such a scenario which would then affect the overwhelming majority....counter productive, and frankly a waste of time I would say.
Possibly more likely said player was just having a bad day on the mouse button?
I had my worst round ever a few days ago....i hit a +10 (don't laugh or I will let the tyres down on yer bike)... I was slightly annoyed, but at the end of the day I know it wasn't a conspiracy... I was just playing CRAP. And no doubt I will have a crap day again.
Cheers
