Cheers Jim. You are correct in saying i did not clear the cache after changing putters. But i only clear cache once in a blue moon. I find i dont have any trouble after updates on WGT, and besides, my Rossa behaves like it should when i change back, again without clearing the cache.

Thanks for your input Jim. I would like to hear from others on this if possible, just for your thoughts on the Odyssey, not the video.

Good video TWOMINUSONE, I thumbed it up. :)

Apparently the Rossa is the putter of choice for 'ding' putters so I went ahead and rented it. After a single 9 on the flat greens of BP, I was very, very pleased with it's performance. Long putts: held line as well as the 70 Versa. There is a penalty for a missed ding(as it should be) on the 90/150 scale but it does seem less severe. Short putts: I made all 10 footers and below, save for one which was a gross misread. The ding-miss penalty on the 15/30 meter seems almost  negligible.

My last round at KIA with the Versa was pretty bad. Thru 5 holes, my longest putt holed was 2.8 feet. Just couldn't get a ding...and made nothing as a result. Started hitting the putts more solid and one putted the remaining holes. It seems like you at least have a shot at making it with the Rossa on a mishit. The Versa may as well have 1 dot forgivness, it really isn't very forgiving.

    Jimbog1964:

Personally the L77 Nike needed too hard an oomph on short putts for me, and the transition to not requiring that "oomph" was the bit I never liked.

That's exactly what put me off it too.  I was used to the Ghost Spider which hit an 8 foot putt 8 feet so playing with the Nike which seemed to need hitting 10 or 11 feet to reach a hole 8 feet away was very difficult.  It was better with the longer scales but the short one just felt dead.

    Jimbog1964:

    All gets VERY PERSONAL.

That's the crux of it right there.  Even with the small selection of putters offered here (compared to real life) you could still ask 5 players which putter they like and get 4 different answers, maybe even 5.
