Discussing a three wedge set-up, the level 60 Pings have strange yardages, 85 and 105. What would fit below - no big choice IMHO -  or above? Only an iron set with a long PW.

First point to decide: Which will be the PW to fit?

Will it have 100 or 120 yds? Will you continue with your Raptures or change at some time?

Second: Which spacing do you prefer?

There are 50-75-100, 60-75-90, 60-80-100 yds for instance, and variations with 95 or 105 yds are possible, too. Take into account that punch shots are almost like full shots with better wedges and may close some gaps. I have the first combo, with 41-50-63-77-84-100 yds available (punches underlined).

    Third: Which quality, what budget?

I think that the quality must rise with the length. I'm very content with my lvl38 50yds club but the same with 98 yds would show too much roll - I changed to a lvl 76 Cleveland. The intermediate may be mid level, I have not changed yet from lvl38.

In conclusion, you might want a first, short wedge of 50 or 60 yds, e.g. level 38-42 ATV or Ping, a third, long wedge of +-100 yds, high level Cleveland/ATV/Ping, and a second of your choice in between.

I found that the ATV wedges are the easiest to use and are very accurate. The 50 yard ATV wedge is like a magic wand.

Agreed. That 64 degree ATV is, in my opinion, the most versatile wedge available. An absolute must have...

So, why don't you play it? LOL

I suppose that this lvl 80ish ATV is a copy of my lvl39 Z-Satin, at 5+x the price ;)

Cleveland 60, 80, and 100 along with the R11 120 PW is the best combination IMO. Take a week or two to fine tune them and get used to the spin but after that you`l see the reward's.

Actually I found that the ATV to be inferior to the Z-Satin because it is not as consistent. I still have 2 Z-Satins that I use in a couple of saved club sets.
