You've only had those wedges less than two weeks!  it took me months to even begin to get used to mine ( I may be a slow learner but I'm not comatose just yet! ), so in my opinion you need to give yourself a bit more time. Familiarity with your clubs and what they can do is very important in this game.

The clevelands are amongst the top level wedges in the game so once you've become accustomed to them, impressed you will certainly be.

The main thing with the Cleveland wedges is only add back spin on chips pitches and flops. They have so much spin if  you add no spin or a small amount of top spin they will hit and stop within a  few feet of where they landed. And learn the punch with them. They even stop quickly with no added spin with the punch.

Play a practice round, from the fairway hit several shots using 75% 50% 25% power with each wedge.

    Write down the results,

Im new and learning myself but when I hit the mark they are very accurate Cleveland wedges are becoming my favorite club. I use full back spin.

Just to point out to you alphalobo that there are lower and higher level cleveland wedges. You have the lower level ones which, I owned a while back and absolutely loved and totally agree with you about the full backspin use, but the OP has the higher level clevelands which have a higher spin attribute and will bite you quite severely if you use full backspin in the wrong situation.

The high level ATV wedges are the best. Period.

ATV or Cleveland, a club is only as good as the lump of meat on the end of it.
