why does a 20ft putter come out when the ball is 8 ft and you have a 10 ft putter. could it be improved or just i have to be more aware?

Happens loads, for me if i'm over 9ft the 20ft putter comes out every time, what's worse is if the putt is downhill often I'm aiming 6 or 7 foot and I have been known to forget about checking the putter increment.

I just think that my caddy is a Crack smoking incompetent SOB and that I have to check EVERY shot, because if I didn't think that I'd have to consider WGT's competence.

Not defending the caddy, but you have a nice putter although it does need that extra ooomph inside 10 feet.

A 20 foot scale is less travel back to ding than 10, and I personally prefer that.  With your putter I would be setting that scale to 100, and 150 feet not much over that, but that's me.

I also recommend using a scale that minimizes the length of the putting stroke as an aid to putting accuracy.

If I want to hit a putt with 10 feet of distance strength, I use the 100 foot scale and a 10% stroke length.

For a 7.5 foot putt stroke strength, I use the 50 foot scale and a 15% stroke strength.
