    wldthng016400:
By the way, precision and forgiveness on the R1 has been reduced as well as the R11 irons for forgiveness.

I would agree on the R1 forgiveness a little I have been thinking the same for a while.  I disagree on the precision though.  Still a good club, but they should not play with it IMO.

I can't say I have noticed any difference with the irons - always a little flighty.  Good days and bad with better players having more good I guess lol. EDIT: Just played a good few CC low wind Beth F9 rounds.  The Par 3 3rd (easy pin) I was way off with a hair line miss and in to any slight wind.  Don't remember it being that bad so maybe some holes??

I think some noob might have played at the last down time ? My FBS CG64 pitches are slightly different for sure.  I had to recallibrate ...

Agreed, they have no right to tinker with something once its been purchased at the original stats!!

I'm not saying they have or have not tinkered with any clubs, but we have all agreed to give them that right to tinker when we signed up.  Per the T&C:

    WGT Terms & Conditions:

You acknowledge and agree that that in the course of providing this dynamic environment, WGT will, without providing notice, be making ongoing modifications and improvements to the Game Software from time to time in the course of the operation and development of the Site. Such changes may affect the performance and interaction of individual components of the games, performance of virtual items, contests and challenges available on the Site.

In addition, you agree that WGT retains the sole and unfettered right to change, remove or modify the available virtual items from time to time (which may among other things make one or more virtual items more or less effective or functional, more common or less common, or eliminated entirely).

If we were to tinker with the clubs, we would announce it. I have no knowledge of us doing so.

And if they did tinker, not announce it, and not tell you, then your plausible deniability is intact!  ;o)

LOL - I know they can (agreement wise).  I don't think it's a good thing to exercise the right though.  Interesting to see / hear what other's see / think as always though!

of course, in order to get this job, I had to take a plausible deniability 401 at Harvard

I still think that for the first week after it was released (I bought it the first day it was available, and got 2 friends to do so as well, 6 more since), the L48 R1 was behaving as if it were the L98 R1. After the first several days of playing with it, the yardages decreased significantly on the same courses with similar wind conditions.

I don't know if they mess with your clubs or not but I think they mess with the wind all the time. 7 mph winds acting like 15 mph winds. Miss the ding on the wrong side and the ball goes way wider than it should. I'm talking about missing  a ding by 1ding line or 2. I had a 2mph side wind push the ball 5 yds wide. on a 78 yd.  dinged  shot.  A 2 mph wind should have no  effect  on a short shot like that. Imo. I know they are trying to make the game harder because they make it way to easy for players to get good clubs and balls before they should have them. I guess when you realize it's all about the money it makes it more understandable why the game gets more screwed up the longer you play.
