As I am close to making Tour Legend, I wanted to throw my 2 cents in on green speeds.  My objection is that I think it is unfair for all players in a game to play at the Championship green speed.  The reason we have different levels for players is to allow them to compete fairly with other players at different levels - i.e. different tees.  So imo each player should putt at their green speed based on their level.  I think this would promote more play between tour legends and other levels of players.  Jim

How real ist this? Not the question(?) but the situation standing on the same green and putting with different conditions.

BTW: the "same green" situation is another good reason not to let ppl. play tournaments in company.

Play in practice mode. Choose any green speed.

    Play in practice mode
That is actually a good suggestion, something I hadn't thought of.  Thanks.

I'm afraid that practice mode will be even more unfair to the less experienced and lower-tiered players because it puts the whole group to the same tee. Most times, it is hard to beat the superior equipment without any distance advantage :(

In a year of playing on WGT I remember playing with/against a Tour Legend twice. I have been on the Championship greens a few additional times. While it might cause some players anxiety to be on the course with superior players, I have found the higher level players very willing to offer tips and encouragement when paired with/against those of lesser "talent". Perhaps the best way to experience a Championship green is to play with a TL who will give insight as to how the ball rolls and breaks. And let's face facts, players who don't want to play with hacks, amateurs, and lowly pros will opt out of those contests. As to superior equipment, there are many level 93 and above TM's or M's using clubs that might be considered "better" than what some legends or tour legends have in their bags.
