    andyson:

    2. You only get the "last ball" box on the 1st tee so there is NO Continue button preceding it.  You can click all you want while the game loads.

    3. You didn't think this through. (yeah I know I said two points.....)

    2. There IS indeed a Continue button preceding the first tee by default (i.e. 'Hole Info' display not turned off) unless it is optionally turned off by the user.

    3. I did think this through. Look at the two screencaps I took on the first tee. Notice that my cursor is at the exact same position on the screen before and after I clicked on the Continue button. In the after pic on the bottom, my cursor is now exactly on the 'Buy Now' button. Now, if I were to have accidentally clicked the Continue button (in the top pic), or to paraphrase your words, "all I wanted," I would certainly have clicked the Buy Now button by mistake as well.

IF you were playing with a freebie ball,

AND IF you had the hole info screen enabled,

AND IF you clicked on the small area of the Continue Button that overlaps Buy Now

AND IF you clicked more than once in that small area.

    THEN yeah.

Remember your premise is those devious WGTers have intentionally placed the Continue Button of the Hole Info screen in such a way as to overlap the Buy Now button of the Last Ball pop-up so we mistakenly buy a sleeve of balls.

Really, those devious folk could have done a much better job.  Personally I enable Hole Info 2 or 3 times a year when playing a new course, otherwise its a nuisance to close it on every hole.  As Level 86 kiminD you still need to read the Hole Info on Kiawah #1?

And if I were programming it I'd sure as heck overlap those two buttons more than 15% as shown here where I overlayed a screenshot of the Continue Button at 65% transparency over a screenshot of the Buy Now Button

Take a closer look at how much the two buttons really overlap.

And you still need to click twice in that small area.  The odds of all the conditions being met are very, very, very small.  It is not intentional.

True, whilst the odds are very very small, multiply that by perhaps just hundreds of new and inexperienced players out of the tens of thousands of active ones whose got a load of banked credits (and also with the hole info still enabled) and WGT has got themselves some unwilling victims.

Mind you, overlapping it much more than that would be much too obvious, which is why overlapping it just barely enough is sufficient to allow for that 15% chance of a mistake to happen every now and then. Add to that the chances of accidentally moving the mouse physically as well and the probability percentage rises slightly.

It's actually a force of personal habit of mine letting the hole info display stay, but my concern is that my conspiracy theory (LOL) is focused on reaping credits from less experienced players. But now that you've pointed it out, it's actually high time I have that display removed so thanks for the reminder. (although it adds to the fact that even some experienced players such as myself have the hole info still turned on thus further diversifying WGT's catchment radius of 'victims')

Use the free balls WGT occasionally gives us for free to add to the Water Boy - Master Your Game award.

I too use the free balls up in C-T-T-H games.

I love the cork 'POP' sound when you hit the Korbel ball and all the champagne bubbles as it  flies.

But near the end of it's durability, in the water it goes.
