I was watching the Presidents Cup first round Four-Ball Matches today and wondered why WGT hasn't developed that format yet.  Is there any plans for Four-Ball Match Play in the future?  (Sorry if this isn't posted in the right place.)

    Sorry to let you down:

Why-questions are only revealed in front of the company's echelon.

future plans will not be revealed at all.

Okie, I believe the majority rule on this idea was the four-ball games would take too long to play.

I personally like the idea for CC matches, or with friends only. I don't see it working in random matches.

Unless of course 4 players choose to search for a game in that format ;-)

I think Four-Ball format would be a great addition.  Before AS, I believe WGTLS guild matches were manually scored as Four-Ball.  And Four-Ball format was successfully used in the WGT Ryder/President's Cup tournaments,  They played 9 hole matches.

Include a pick up your ball and a concede option to keep things moving along.  It would be a popular addition to multi-player IMO.  I can't recall the last 18 hole AS I've played but keep it an option.
