I have the three wedges I got when I started the game, do I need to upgrade.  I looked at the tour starter gold 54 degree wedge in the pro shop.  Would that be a good choice.  Thanks.

    Honestly,

I had the wedge for some time And it didn't help one bit, Id save your credits and get the ping tour w.

How serious are you about the game? Here's a comparison of your choice and  a couple of others:

For 10 credits more you get increased precision and spin, but the meter is a bit faster. If you're serious about WGT and game improvement, the Pings are a good first upgrade. If you really want to improve your short game (along with putting, the key skill you'll need for better scores) then decent wedges are a must!

You're level 32 now so there's a bit of wait for option 3, but the improved performance may be worth the wait. don't worry about meter speed u get used to it quick, and can control with 'Feel' balls (like GI-SD)

You'll want to nail the balls to the pin when advancing, so precision and spin are important. That said, the "gold" is crap, the lower Ping is not an enduring investment. The level 41 Ping has been recommended here many times (BTW: @30,000 XPs). The 60 + 80 yds clubs are certainly a good buy.

A higher investment but with some advantage is the lvl 38 ATVs. They provide 50 + 77 yds, thus a shorter lower end. I like this, and I'm not going to give my 50 yds wedge out of my hands.

All these custom wedges provide you with a multiple advantage, since all shot variations improve compared to the Starters. A 50 yds full shot is accompanied by a 41 yds punch, a 15 yds flop and pitch (13 yds) and chip (6 yds) which can be executed with some perfection.

Be warned though that - provided a minimum commitment - you will advance to Master inevitably, producing the need for better driver, woods and irons.

Thanks for the replies guys, I appreciate the help.  Guess I'll wait till I get up a few more levels before I make a purchase.

Alosso, I'm not sure I understood what you were saying about the 50 yd full shot being accompanied by a 41 yd punch, a 15 yd flop, etc.  Is that different shots you can make with the same club or additional clubs.  Thanks again guys.
