You pay more credits per sleeve, the balls get better. Obviously. But why are so many of the balls so similar? The medium-cost balls have a medium number of dots on each category. And they are all pretty similar; for 175-250 credits you can get 2, 3, 3, 1.5, or 3, 2.5, 2, 2, or 2.5, 2.5, 2, 1.5... and so on and so on. If you want a certain category to get boosted, you have to accept a boost in all of them.

90% of the time, I play GI-SDs. I like the 1-dot of feel, and they are pretty good balls. But WHAT I WOULDN'T GIVE for a little more spin! I have tried everything out there, and I just can't hit the high feel balls - meter is too slow and I click all over the place.

I would LOVE a ball with 3.5 or 4 of spin, and 2 of distance, with only 1 feel dot. Probably someone, right now, is wishing for a 5-distance ball but only 1 spin, bacause his wedges already spin like crazy. Why not? Put some more radical balls out there and see if they sell. It's not like you have to physically STOCK them!

    Hopelessly addicted,

Ever tried the lvl 33 Callies? They've done the job for me ever since I upgraded from Tour SDs.

It would be cool if we could buy custom balls that cost a set number of credits per dot and you can choose which attributes to boost.

Say the dots cost 30 credits each, for 150 credits per sleeve you can distribute 5 dots however you want.  It would get a bit complicated when it came to equipping your bag.  If you bought 2 sleeves of 5 dot balls with 4 distance and 1 feel you would have to use starter balls if you run out even if you have more 5 dot balls in your bag but with 2 distance, 2 spin and 1 feel for example.

Maybe the whole thing would get too complicated after all.

Not much to see here, move along.

Yeah...they have 2.5 feel dots. That is what I am complaining about.

Not complicated at all...if the ball isn't exactly the same, it can't be used in the same round. I've already GOT 10 different balls in the bag.

In fact, that is how I was envisioning it, but didn't want WGT to think I wanted the players to wrest all the control away from them!

I understand you point and I see no reason why it cannot be implemented.

However, lets go a step further, why not a 'design your own ball'?

WGT could work out a price per dot obviously getting significantly higher the nearer you get to the 5 dots in each category and a price per brand. The players then pick the dots they want and pay accordingly.

why not a 'design your own ball'?

Because the ball makers get an advertising benefit by being associated with WGT based on the attributes of the various brands/models of gold balls available?

WGT, any response? Is it possible to get some good spin balls with no feel, or little feel? I'm playing the WGT Tour-SD, with 2 spins and 2 distance dots, for 65 credits. Don't you want to make more money from me? Say, 160 cr for a 4-spin, 3-dist, no feel ball?

Hello? Anyone out there? At least you might say, "Hey, idiot, we're not doing that!"

(PS - that invitation was solely for WGT, not anyone who wants to call me an idiot!)

You could try posting this on the "product suggestions" forum.

However you shouldn't expect WGT to agree it's a great idea and implement it right away.

As for the feel issue, I find changing ball to different feel amount is detrimental. There is no reason a slower meter should cause you problems - it is supposed to make it easier!,

If you practice a bit you will get used to it.
