Played some solid rounds since writing up the OP. Maybe I was just getting VEM'ed like crazy because the last 2 nights these suckers have been on target like darts.
I did make a couple changes though: instead of using spin to dial down/up yardages, I settled on just playing 95-97%ish shots using 7/8 bs. That seems to fill the gaps nicely between clubs. I also made some notes just simply writing +/- (distance long/short) after each shot; tallied them up after a couple rounds and changed yardages accordingly. After the first iteration, the worst shots were only off 4 yards versus 8 or 9. The 5 iron was the most consistent with 0, 0, +5, -2, 0, 0, -2, +4, -4. Not surprisingly the 7 iron was the worst with -6, +4, -5, 0, -4. The 3 and 4 irons were extremely consistent as well(most were hit less than 100%) in the +/- 4 area with some 0's. Now I'm somewhat confident going forward. Here's what I have( 7/8 bs neutral wind, fbs downwind, 1/2 bs into wind.)
Club Full(carry)
3 iron: 226(218)
4 iron: 204(201)
5 iron: 188(185)
6 iron: 172(171)
7 iron: 154(154)
8 iron: 143(142)
9 iron: 133(133)
PW: 123(123)
Ball: L71 Nike
..subject to change of course. and tomorrow I probably wont get anything inside 10 feet.

neil,
I recently quit the bladez as I reached the level for the R11s. I loved the bladez but two pieces of advice that bear repeating.
Into a headwind I usually got more distance (and more accuracy) when using topspin, so long as the landing area wasn't above me.
The bladez 7 iron is junk, don't use it, choke down on the 6I instead.
It's 30 yards between the 6 and 8 iron. I'm willing to be a little more patient with it. :)
