    if you are beating someone and they forfeit in a match play match...does it sount as much as an outright win?

    Then why does it not credit you with a win? I was 3-5 vs legends and after a game I was 1 up in the legend I was playing quit and it said I won the match but my record is still 3-5.

    You are credited with the win but because the match did not finish it doesn't get counted towards your stats.       - WGTdbloshoe

    Wrong unfortunately:

    Concession of a shot, a hole or the entire game is a way to finish a match, see rule 2-4. Considering the match as unfinished after forfeiting it via menu - which is the case - does not follow the rules of golf. My list of broken rules extends to #5..
