here is something that could work for u up under WGT-COMMUNITY click on golf courses an click on kia an first buy yourself some cheap balls for practice an then play 17 over an over tell u get the hang of it an to play it like u legend just go in to reverse view an hit 73 yrd to the back tee don't make no dif how many hits it take just as long as u get the practice off the bac tee.....

As for me here are just a few tips 10 tail u hit 210 fbs now if its at an angle say 60 degree or 30 it will not play same take lil back spin off now if its 10 in your face hit with 225 with about 95% fbs now if its cross wind hit 225 fbs at 95% power now from here with what i have said just add more or take more off with higher an lower winds tell u get it down.... now the best advice i can give ya is stay away from there when on high winds tell you have them winds down an if there is ever a wind from left to right always try to ajust your shot so that u can hit early will save u alot of balls...... sry im not the best with explaining things better at showing but sure hope this helps...

As for back pin thats still a big guessing game for me still the only shot im good with there is with a 3 to 5 tail wind just hit 225 flat meaning dont use any back spin when it comes to the 3wood its a nightmare.......

I don't like Kiawah on here due to the mapping of the greens

You'll like it even less on champ greens. :)

Agreed i love the course but think the green mapping is ridiculous, and i normally avoid playing it like the plague!

The water as you say its all in the mind, also a tip remove the pin, i do now ever since i hit the pin from the tee and ball went in the drink!!

A lucky escape, camera 2 is the best view

I don't like Kiawah on here due to the mapping of the greens, but 17 is one hole that I like. As Jim said a 3-4 (often less depending on wind) Iron for me gets there comfortably, but my advice is to hit a little long and left to ensure you avoid the lake. DONT miss the ding to the right - even light l-r breeze is trouble.

The back pin in strong winds is tougher.3 iron or even 3 wood but again long and left is OK - a easyish up and down.

Last tip - forget the water is there, half the battle is won.
