  Tiger I completely agree with what you are saying, but in real life if the ball goes wild it's 90% because you hit it wrong, Here the game decides for you when the shot is going to mess up. How fair is that. 

  Trust me nobody is going to leave the game because they are playing to good.

  My point exactly.  Once you've become so good, the VEM must make up for the lack of variance in shots, or else all scores would be ridiculously low. And that is exactly what VEM does. It gets more strict with your shots as you get better.

  This is exactly what Chad said he was going to do something about when he stated that the scores were becoming an embarrassment to wgt.  And anyone must admit that scores that aren't ridiculously low are more on par (pun intended) with RL golf, which is the objective IMO.

  Have to disagree with that to some extent.  The main reason anyone leaves behind any video game is boredom.  Boredom is bound to be reached much quicker if one gets so good at the game that there is no challenge left & every shot is right where you want it to go every time.    

  If every shot is "perfect", where's the challenge. There would be none & boredom would set in quickly.  That's why I have a shelf full of video games that I became too proficient at for them to be enjoyable anymore.      :-)

  Your forgetting you still have to figure the shot, hit the ding or not, hope the  flash does not mess up the  meter, and make the putt these things are not a given by any means.

  In answer to your question wheres the challenge, it would be to try and beat the guy who is better than you. No one said we would all be equal, but it's only fair if a player puts in the time and effort ,to know what his clubs and ball does why should he be penalized.

  Getting bored and tired of a game will happen no matter what, but it will surely happen faster if there is no reward for your hard work. If the game decides where the ball is going to go then whats the use. I have proved this with the new  mulligan feature.

  All i can say about that without being banned is......Sad..Sad..Sad.....lol.

  In my opinion there is no way this game can go forward with employees expressing opinions like that. With that said there is no way Icon plays RL golf,, or knows anything about golf in my opinion.

  For this game to be played like we are playing it now there is no way that the creators of this game had playing for credits in mind.

  Nope.....they created a great golf game for many to enjoy. Not to play for credits! If the creators knew we were going to gamble money to play this game,,, i'm sure the game would have been setup totally different.

  Why they will not change it??  I have my own thoughts on that,, maybe they cannot or do not have the programmers to do so.

  Anyway you look at it we are not playing a fair game. This game played in single play against others is lotto golf at best.

  And.....I agree Jason,,, they don't give a rats azz. That is certain......lol.

  Yup...that is the problem right there. I can't see playing for money and not have a level playing field.

  Said so many times i forgot how many...lol.

  Shite take playing for credits away.    Throw in 10 wtf shots a round...playing for fun then right?  Who cares at that point.

  Really at that point who need averages.....lets just go out there and smack the shite all over the place.

  We just play for fun at that point.  Shite we could even have a tourney to see who could post the highest score.

  Would be great fun.  No???

   

  Could even throw in a Windmill ...maybe couple of ski slopes on the greens. Make the game very fun to play. Hey we could even have the option to throw your opponents ball in the woods once or twice a hole. 

  And....at that point who needs to putt...once everyone reaches green we just all pickup and go to the next hole. Save plenty time.

  Think about this too....since were playing for fun..who needs clubs. The starters would do just fine. No more buying balls either....would be a great game then.

  What ya'll think?  Would be nice huh??

  With all due respect, whoever you may be; outside of the 9 hole RG apparently having 11 holes, this sounds pretty much akin to a round IRL.

  YES, 7 + 4 = 9; 11 + 5 + 4 =18; that is the way WGT calculate shots distance. You are smarter than they are (:

  Yups seems everyone agrees but one person. I will also add this person is not a player. lol.

  I think we are going to have to make our own poll i'm afraid.

  And......after that i'm almost certain the poll will be lost.
