I tried these balls out at the very beginning and absolutely adored them, then the second and third sleeves didn't seem so good.

But I am itching to give them another try, especially with some important CC comps coming up, but the thought of spending 550 credits for 3 balls, just turns my stomach, when I can get 2 sleeves of callys plus change.

I just don't know what to do.

You will burn a couple just getting the basic yardages.  Tiny adjustments in spin can make huge differences, and so quite a learning curve IMO.

Like many things you pay way more for tiny improvements, above a certain point, especially in a monopoly LOL.  In this case those improvements are only potential, not huge and will only come aftef much practice.

I use them and sometimes wonder why when players shoot as well with less.  Tough one.

I debated long and hard as well, as 550cr for a sleeve is steep. But I have used them for about two months, but probably have not played as much as when I used the Callys.

Are they good, yes, longer and more spin but as Jim says, it take minor adjustments on spin - and to be honest I think I had the measure on the Callys, but I am not quite there with the Nikes - OR WGT is playing havoc lol.

But I suppose you have to ask yourself, what can you buy for six bucks these days?

Crap, I forgot you like in the land of cheap - Rolexes, plastic surgery and women. Yes they are pricey!

    ....

I too am thinking of switching from Callys (level 33 250Cr version) to the Nike's. What is the difference in distance?

To be honest CJ, I think it is considerable if I remember correctly.

E.G. #6 Congo, if u have no help with wind or just a tiny bit, then with the RZN, u can still reach in two, that is my memory.

So they have to be worth a shot or two per round, which at our level is enormous.

Also I think the meter was ever so slightly slower than the Cally's, but can't be sure.

The Nikes land LESS than the distance callie with fbs, fact. All those distance dots are negated by the spin dots when fbs is applied.

The only advantages the Nike has over the Callie is with neutral spin, it lands about 2-4 yards further depending on club and is further with driver but the yardages are inconsistent in any kind of wind.

The Callie stops just as well as the Nike in most scenario's and I personally will never change to the Nike as it is not necessary.

The distance Callie lands almost rated with fbs and R11 irons and it can bounce backwards, stop dead or roll a bit, you really can make that ball do your bidding once you understand it in all spin and wind configurations :-)

Off the tee the Nike is a little longer. The long irons also hit longer especially off the tee.

Now as far as worth a shot or two a round... i don't see it. I play mostly with Max ball that has a little less distance and a lot less spin.

Its all about knowing what your ball can and can not do. I played with the 250 credit Callys and could score just as well as with any other balls.

I know TL's that play with Srixon balls, and will tear the course up. I think for the price the Cally is the best ball in the shop.
