I also seem to hit the ball closer in CTTH than I can while playing stroke play. I really don't know why other than having no pressure to make putts in CTTH so I play loose.
As for the camera angles and the wind, the wind direction is showing from whatever camera view you are using at the time. The wind arrow is not based on a direct line between the player and the target. That's why it appears the wind changes when you look with different cameras.
