3 possibilities when you play a practice course : Hard, medium, easy.

What does that mean, and what is the difference ?

    Thanks for your answers !

In principle, if there are two sets of tees, one selection may be easy, the other may be hard, "medium" for a mix of them.

In reality, the mix is arbitrary, sometimes providing the same tees for easy AND hard. You'' never know.

I learned this the hard way when checking out the pins and distances at KIA #9 from Legend tees. 1st game "easy", I get the front pin. 2nd game "hard", I play through 1 - 8 again only to find the front pin again :(

very true Alosso. Oakmont is the worst.

I played a matchplay tournament there, and 2 out of three matches I had different pins, so no consistency at all.

The subject also shows in the community's UEL tournaments. Played in practice mode, each group of players may get different pins though defined in the C&C.
