I would like to see WGT  allow the owner of the Club the ability to delete posts in club forum.

Pages of old messages are unnecessary especially if you are trying to keep club up to date. also any message that was Vulgar, nasty, racial should never be left and the option for owner to delete it right away is needed !!!!

Hope you will make this option available soon !!!

    That option is available already.

we have 3 people in our club that share ownership of the club and pass the club to one of the others every month or so.  The only time it doesn't work for one of them is when it is his turn at bat.

I am not at the helm now but when I am, I go into the forum and start with the oldest, least active posts and delete them.  Delete the first post in a thread and select delete children and the whole thread will be gone, irretrievable, so make sure you want to delete it.

You also have the ability to make posts stick and pin them so they are at the top of the list.

This doesn't work for a lot of clubs. WGT were advised of this over a year ago. Mine has never worked. No delete, no stickify and no lock.

I suspect that most, if not all, CC owners would love to have a lot more ability to control how "their" CC forums are structured.

    Examples:

The ability to create "sub threads"

The ability to create "private threads" available only to a select group of members (management)

    and so forth...

However, I think the main problem would be that it would require an enormous amount of administration work by the WGT team to create sub-groups, special privileges etc. and therefore cannot see this ever become available.

Only solution I see is for the individual CC owner to create their own website with associated forum where they can do as they please.

This of course would not suit all members as some are dis-inclined to have to go to a "off-WGT" website to be part of CC life.

But, it can work! Just look at the great job Southern England Links have done (it pains me advertising them but credit given where credit is due). I have looked at their website and am most impressed, but also depressed that I do not have the time and resources to do a similar thing for my CC.
