control the flight of the ball in a cross wind

    Wind

To aim left/right with accuracy, switch to Pitch shot from another camera view. The grid is 10 yds wide.

From the tee, a 12 MPH crosswind will move the ball to the tip of your blue triangle aiming device in the small hole overview in the lower right of your screen. That is with most drivers. The R1 really bores through the wind. Saves time.

    Good Luck

nd Bob.  If you're shooting an approach shot, change any club other than 3w, 3h to pitch.  That will give you the grid.  If you move the grid's edge to where it's touching the pin, you've moved 10 feet!

Not true, Kat, sorry. That grid you get with zoom and pitch or chip as shot type is a 10 YARD square - with the aiming point triangle bottom tip at the middle. The grid edges are therefore 5 yds (15 feet) from the aiming point (the corners are ~ 7 yds). Just like in the putting grid, the individual boxes are 2 ft squares, so it's 7.5 little squares from aiming point to edge of pitch grid.

Also note that the info box (^11FT / 112 YD, in above pic) is 5 yds wide, for quick reference.

These rules of thumb don't apply to fairway views, where the pitch grid is not available.

ok so we agree that the grid is10 yards and not 20 feet ??

I keep hearing some saying that it is only 20 feet across?

Okay ... I heard 20' (10' longer). Thanks for that info.
