It's beyond ridiculous, the wind is compeltely random over 18 it can make up to 10 shots difference.

If on St A, with strong wind (15-25mph) and you get 14 tailwinds so you can potentially make 5, 9, 14 etc in 1 shot and play a wedge to almost every greeb.

I got 59 yesterday with fairly average wind an even split tailwind / headwinds although headwind on the par 5s - I got 66 today because I did literally get 14 headwinds, 20mph right in my face on every par 5 and 17 (lost a ball as result, never would have happened with a tailwind).

It's completely stupid, the wind does change direction but not in the 2 minutes it would take you to move to the next tee. You can see the other holes in the background sometimes in the complete opposite direction but you can get direct headwinds on both.

The winds on every course are random per hole. They do not follow the geography of the course layout. Been that way all along.

I never said it had ever been different. The idea is to suggest things that could be changed?

If the winds were true then in unlimited tournys people would just keep restarting before taking their first shot, until they got the winds that they liked. That wouldn't be realistic either

All due respect C...eff the UL tourney's..single play should all be similar wind sets..ADT has it right, but WGT thinks otherwise.

How about a MP...Me against the best player her in a high wind tourney at SA or RSG...I get tail winds on all holes and head winds on par 3s..opposite for the best player here at WGT who get's 30+ head winds on all par 4's and par 5's, and tails on par 3's.

    Who'd ya bet on?

Not fair ya say, because both of us are playing the same course?

Well, why should a tourney (SP) be any different?

Maybe have to make the putts??....

Then why not set the wind with a variation of no more than 10degrees for the entire tournament. e.g. it will be blowing from NNW give or take 10 degrees for all the holes for the entire tournament, or at least for each round in a multi-round tournament. IRL tournaments the wind may pick up or die down but I've yet to hear of one player having a 180degree different wind from the player one hole behind him / her.
