I've noticed the hand before and thought it was an index finger pointing at the correct place in the fairway to hit the tee shot. ;)
Maybe, but after the T shot i hit i thought it might be saying f*ck you!!

If you look at the course maps many of the holes are quite phallic in appearance.
I still get a chuckle when that hole comes up.
I always bring it up in the game chat and usually get some pretty funny responses.
