    Think business:

Is it good merchandising to punish customers?

We cannot expect more than the completion %% traffic lights.

In a sense there is a minor penalty ... loss of ball life and no XP for the game that is quit. Its not much I know but that's the way it goes.

But you don't receive any experience points either.

I think there should be some kind of penalty.  It is normal to start 3-4 games a night before someone doesn't leave after a bad shot

I understand that but many people don't use that function

They hit one bad shot and they are just gone

Play match.  Then if someone quits, you win.

The punishment is a horrid win/loss percentage.
