Well here is my short review.

Do they perform as advertised? NOPE

Do they perform better then the r11's? YEP.

I was hoping to make miracle shots and in playing the no wind I was hoping to slamming into the flag sticks, and all I got was more precision and a slower meter with any ball.

r11's 4 sale to lowest bidder.

I highly recommend you drop that 81Nike ball and try either the lesser one or the 33Callaway. (The ultimate verification comes from none other than CIB-he discovered it.)

The Callaway and these irons DO perform as advertised for me.  :-)

It depends what way you look at it, but to me the nikes have a little less than the same forgiveness as the R11's.

Gone back to the R11's and they are sooooo much more forgiving. Of course this could be down to the added precision. But even in no wind comps there's a bit more of a gap than advertised to me.

Tried the nikes with a few different balls, still searching to unlock this hidden greatness I'm reading about  ;-) lol

Using the L81 Nike, and not seeing any problems apart from a few expected teething problems with spin.  Tiny (1 dot) differences in spin with that ball can sometimes see huge changes in outcomes, and it's just a case of learning that precisely, noting it, and being careful in sticking to it exactly I find.

I have been short a couple of times (just now at Oak 18) that way, but when it's happened before off to BPB9 and map until I am happy with a consistent outcome. I have also skipped past a couple of holes with top spin, but again go map. Really not different to when I first got the R11s, just much less of a change.

Basically they are playing very similarly to the R11s for me, and although only 90% dialed in really I am growing to like them more and more.  They seem very consistent although admittedly, as alluded to, it is early.

I don't see any game changer, but at L97 I never expected that.  Nicer to use for me than the R11s so far though, and that's worth something.  Once you get past the price I think WGT have done a good job with these.

anyone else having trouble with the nike 3i?

    BPBF9 got to 7 -6, good drive w/ 224 to pin...hit the 3 with a 10 oclock 3mph wind with 90% backspin like I would hit the R11 3i and it carried 233 yrd.

basically the same thing happened twice on the BOPar 5's, one with full b/s carried 229 w/ a 7mph 8 oclock wind

fwiw, playing BPB front 9 with the R1 driver and the nikes is almost like playing miniature golf now...but I have played it a lot more than any other 9...

I think this is where you have to be careful. BS is adding carry, especially if you miss the ding. I'm finding choking with less spin, mostly to control the rollout, works better with helping wind.

Been doing some investigation playing every ball but the wgt ones and nike 48, I'm out of those 48's, just had 2 rounds of my life with the cally 33 ball. I mean 4ft approach stat over 18 holes is unheard of for me, with 3 approaches landing at 1 inch and almost a double eagle.

Now for the tin foil hat, my early investigation is telling me clearly that accuracy declines the slower the meter. It may not be the spin it may be the slower meter that's the culprit. We may be paying more then just more credits for a slower meter, I think there may be an accuracy cost as well. But I do see top players using the max balls and still have a very good approach stat, so I'm left scratching my head here.

I just played a par 3 LW CC thing, I did ok but it was from really good putting, was using max ball and ball was flying all over the place, left right long short by several yards, but on a good note, still closer than the r11's.

So for now, it's the cally 33 all the way to the credit bank.

EDIT: The level 48 NIKE ball seems fine as well. Lots of people are reporting no issues with the lvl 81 ball though. I'm scratching my head in bewilderment on that 1. I'm unable to hit the lvl 81 ball with good precision like I can the lvl 33 or the 48 Nike. I know what I'm going to do, looks like all but 2 balls for me for a while.

Must have something to do with programming and where you stand on any given day, I suppose, tomorrow they might perform great, who knows.

    But The Nikes still rock!
