I played against another very bad loser today (seems they are ten to the dozen on WGT). We were playing a Skins game and he landed a shot on the green just 1 yard from the hole.

Unfortunately for him I holed an almost impossible 50yd shot.

Of course as soon as he sees the ball go down, he does what most losers do... closes his browser.

So we have to wait for 4 Minutes and 30 Secs for this guy who we know is never going to show up.

The game resumes but this time from the tee of the next hole. The scorecard is NEVER shown. There was NEVER an opportunity to save the replay :(

There are so many terrible players who disconnect like this usually out of spite.

Please could WGT put an end to these disconnects causing havoc with the game. I would have liked to save the replay but I can't because there are too many players like that who just suck.

If you can be bothered WGT, Thanks.

Did you try clicking on menu and replay last shot or was the option not there?

I tried it straight after the shot but the other player disconnected straight away, so we all got booted to the lobby.

When the game loaded instead of showing the scorecard and 'save replay' option it takes you straight to the next tee. I checked via the menu but it was 'greyed out'. No option to save :(

So basically it seems if you make an amazing shot and someone wants to screw you over they can just disconnect and you won't be able to do anything about it!

Maybe it's just in Skins games? Not sure what happens in other modes?

Sounds like the other player may have known that. I certainly didn't. I'm always stunned by some of the stories about folks up and quitting when they're going to loose. That's one of several reasons I rarely play multi-player of any kind. I'd rather play alone than have a dope up and quit or their connection craps out and ruins the game.

    hi

I suspect you were hitting last, so when that happened the hole was over. if the person did disconnect, then yes, when you came back if it was on the next tee. I am not sure what we can do about that though...

As for disconnections, best advice I can give you is, friends don't quit on friends, so it's always worth either joining a large country club, play in a league or just with friends.

Unfortunately, public games are such and sometimes people have emergencies and leave or even quit.

    Hi Icon,

I wasn't hitting last. I hit first, I won the skins, the other guy couldn't stand losing and disconnected.

A glaringly obvious and easy solution would be to reduce the lobby waiting time to 4 minutes or less. Either that or get rid of those pesky 30 sec adverts before games (but I imagine WGT wants to keep those).

The big problem is that the game can't handle the lobby wait time and ad time. It hits timeout at 5 minutes and crashes. In this case it lost the information and started at the next tee (either due to the excessive wait time or just because of the disconnect?)
