    WigerToods2010:

    Howdy 'Will',

First off - good for you for trying to help others.

I've read the info a few times, watched the video, bought the t-shirt, but alas I'm still struggling to comprehend your method.

Wonder if Mr. Hope has a 'Willsstrs putting method for dummies' video in the pipeline?

    :O)

ummmm yeah it even lost me which i didnt think was possible but nice of you to help others.

Very good info.  I wish you could have not put all the production into the video and simply talked during the video, basically saying what you wrote.  I suspect that it would have saved you a lot of time as well.   Great post regardless.  I need to read it/see video a couple of more times.

This is the most frustrating part of putting for me (well, that, and that I constantly read too little break). I will be trying this soon (and mainly commenting so I can find it again!).  Thanks!

A big thanks for trying to help. But in the video, your putt has multiple breaks, one way at the ball, another 1/2 way, and yet another at the hole. Aiming one way or the other based on your theory, because of the multiple breaks, doesnt seem to me to make sense. But what do i know :-)

The main thing is, if you find something that works for you, use it. And this seems to work for you, and hopefully others having problems as well.

    Thanks again.

Thanks Will for reposting this info, what happened to that 'too much luck needed at Kiawah' thread - disappeared.

Anyway what I don't get is your reference to the Magic line, and again above you talk about the line from the hole to the ball - what is this line, your visualisation of the path or the direct line to the hole regardless of break.

    Maybe some pictures would help.

I also like the tip for using the pitch for looking at the grid more closely

    Willsstrs:

lol ok sorry it was a bit jibberjabberish, I just wanted to explain my reasoning so players could trust it lol...but ok here's the main point:

All from reverse view, would be reversed if using player view

    Uphill putts:

If the line coming from the hole is pointing right of the ball, the ball will tend toward a more right to left roll

If the line coming from the hole is pointing left of the ball, the ball will tend toward a more left to right roll

    Downhill putts:

If the line coming from the hole is pointing right of the ball, the ball will tend toward a more left to right roll

If the line coming from the hole is pointing left of the ball, the ball will tend toward a more right to left roll

lol... ok... i thought i understood it ... til i read this quoted post...

why would it change - uphill/downhill ? are you sure you don't mean - front view/ reverse view ? or are both uphill and downhill in the same view ? otherwise, i think i'm at least starting to get your drift...  ;)

regardless... i applaud your effort to share it with us!  :)

The reason it changes is because the slope doesn't change...say you had a downhill left to right 5 footer on the course and you miss it, going 5 feet by...the comebacker would likely be uphill and right to left...and the front/back view does not matter, so long as all breaks are denoted in player view (if from reverse view you aim the marker right of the hole it is a left to right putt).

Also this is more an addition, not really a modification to the break of the putt based on view but a way to compensate for false breaks shown.

I will get a picture up asap...
