I'm often losing shots due to WGT default settings around the greens. Does this still happen to you? (Probably not I would guess) Example...I have a 15 yard shot from 40-50 rough. DING! and the shot goes 1 foot because the the default was set to PW and a chip. I'm embarassed to admit how many times this happens.

My question is, what is your pre-shot routine to eliminate this brain fart? I've tried stick-ums on my screen and other stupid stuff but to no avail. HELP

Hey WGT !!  How about adding to our options "Turn Off Shot Caddy" ?

Inside 100 yds I know that the preselection is questionable, to say the least. I'm prepared to look at it and correct it, before thinking of the shot itself.

From 50 yds (my shortest wedge) to 100 there may be any of my wedges selected => correction necessary.

From 35 yds in, pitch, from 20 yds in, chip will be selected, regardless of the distance to the green and the lie. I know of this bs, and I'm going to decide, select and check each shot parameter to get a good shot at the flag. It's a pet peeve to start over again and again, but it hasn't changed ever, and it's likely to stay forever.

Yardage, elevation, wind speed, wind direction, lie, club select, shot select, spin, aim, hit & finally grin+fist pump or frown+curse

Players have been asking for that option , for quite some time now . It wont happen , because it helps with ball sales . You just have to remember , who the boss is . I never pay the club selection any attention . I pick which club , that I`m going to use . My routine is simple . Never trust the caddy . Always check myself , for the right club . Always recheck club , after viewing different camera angles . Never trust the caddy . If you follow this simple routine , you will improve your game . :-)

I don't get caught anymore because I know for sure the caddy is offering the wrong option. But in greenside bunkers it is unfuriating to see the caddy offering the 80 yard wedge, when I will only hit the 60 yard wedge.

Why fckin bother having a caddy when it does this !

The player always has the option to overrule the caddy.  My caddy is almost always wrong on every shot and I'm okay with it.  I'm okay with the WGT caddy offering me a club and shot option.  This gives me the opportunity to evaluate all conditions (wind speed and direction, change in elevation, and lie) to determine the best shot with the clubs in my bag.
