  I'm a Tour Pro and I just finished playing the 2nd round of the above mention tournament.

  Normally, we tee off from the white tees. Why, in the 2nd round are we teeing off from the blue tees?

  I managed to shoot only 1-over par, 36, so I'm pretty proud of myself. But I shot a 33 in the first round and was hoping to shoot par or better in the 2nd round for a strong finish. I wasn't expecting to have to do it from a longer distance.

  I managed a birdie on #2 and made par on everything but the long par 4's at 15 and 16 (like 478 and 489 yards, respectively), where I made bogies.

  I'm proud of myself though. I'm currently tied for 10th, which will be my best regular tournament finish ever.

  I just don't understand why the Tour Pros had to tee off from the blue tees in the 2nd round. It's actually the second time it's happened. So, is it supposed to happen or is it a bug?

  Firstly, congrats on your PB.

  Basically WGT do change the tees for different rounds (albeit you still cant do this for a CC Tourny). just to change it up. Sometimes my tees are reduced to the kiddies tees - and ironically I struggle then!

  In your case you will be at a disadvantage over players with longer and better clubs, so my advice is to set your own goals and do not worry about the others.

  My most memorable round was my first  2 under for 18 holes (and I was using all starters clubs back then). Then the goal was 3 under and NO bogeys etc etc.

  The most important thing is to continue to enjoy.

  I do have the Ping G10 driver and I use the Cally Hex Chrome ball so my avg driving distance is now 30 yds better than using starter equipment. Combined with the wedges I got from opyeuclid for Christmas and my scores are more consistently around par or 1-2 shots below.

  Your advice has been my strategy from the git-go. I keep plugging away, concentrating on improving my game. How I fair against others will take care of itself as long as I continue to improve, and it has.

  Alanti hit it on the head, they mix it up. This is why you see the really low scores like the Elk tourney for example, white tees best equips and people shot in the low 50's. Keep plugggin away and gratz on your PB.

  Enjoy the good and great days, and when things go wrong look at what you learned from it. Games a ton of fun long as you dont let it frustrate you. Everyone has meter isssues, WTF shots etc., but having a good attitude and playing the game for fun is what makes it entertainment.

  I like your attitude Bubba so continue to enjoy. Also with any new equipment, take time to learn what it can do and how to use it.
