I play a lot of rounds on here with a lot of different players from around the world and enjoy  it very much..but some players I have played do not know that in your game setting's menu when you click on it,there on the right hand side is a scroll bar and there are many more ways to set up your round or rounds (move it downward to see features)..one feature to me that's great is..Flag animation..put a check mark in that box or any box you want turned on...to me it shows very well what the wind is doing around the green or on any camera angle and it is to me more realistic then the arrow at top of screen and makes it more like the real game..,you  can set up lots on your menu setting's..just remember what ever changes you make..click save when done and all changes will stay..and if you change anything again..you must again click save when done..also remember to clear cookies at least twice a month or more if needed..I do it often and never have problems on this site with nothing and my computer is no better then what anyone else has...have fun all and see you on the great courses offered on this site

I found it affected my meter and I'm not sure but I don't think that the flags move direction for the wind. If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will tear me to pieces as usual.

As mentioned, a lot of the Game Settings/Options that are available will adversely affect the meter smoothness if they are enabled.

So if you want a smooth meter, one of the things you need to do is disable most of the Game Settings/Options.

Other than the Flash Quality (I use High), the only Game Settings/Options I leave on are:

    Aerial Multi-Cam

    Aim Arc

    Ball Trails (Replay)

.and it to me tells u very well what wind is doing around the green just like the real game

Be careful, the flag movement is generic-it doesn't correspond to the wind.

That surprised me Jim!  Although I usually have it disabled I seemed to recall when I tried it once upon a time it did follow the wind.   So I checked it again and I remember correctly.  I does follow the direction of the wind, on the tee and on the green.  Even the shadow is correct.  (and the shadow moves as well.)

I've had it off for years. Gonna go see if it changed.  :-)

They sure do. They are nothing like they were when I turned them off. Looks like they did a pretty good job on them, too.

I did notice where what Courteney pointed out about the meter comes into play. LOL. Impressive job but not at the cost of an occasional meter skip.  :-D

I have had the flag thing on for years now and it has never effected my meter.but that is pretty much the only one I have check marked..I do also clear cookies on this site twice a month, that helps a great deal...I just think it is a great option to have..and if it is messing up your meter..delete those cookies..all I know is I totally love seeing the flag sway in the wind.. it to me makes the game more real then it already is..take care
