gerryniswonger:
I just played and tracked all the shots (Wind included) in practice mode with no mulligans on the Par 3 course and shot 11 under. I then played a Ready-Go on the exact same course including the pin positions and shot only 2 under. My approaches were going 5 and 10 yards longer and the putts had much more break.
My question is...Does WGT intentionally make practice mode easier?
Yeah they do . The level of deviation is less , and you are not playing in ranked mode. You will notice , that in a ranked stroke play round , you will get moderate winds , depending on the course . St. Andys , and George will be the exception , since wind patterns are based on course location . But in practice mode , you get to set your wind , green speed , and pin location . You will get some deviation , and fewer wtf shots . So go back and play another round , one practice , and the other ranked , and you will see the difference . :-)
