What is the possibility of adding another format, say 2 person best ball to the format list?

Alternate shot is fun, but best ball (or better ball, to some) would add another avenue for those players wanting to be 'more' involved in a two-man format.

It would also create more 'risk/reward' scenarios for that 1% shot when your partner is in  good position.

It is the format most often played at local tourney levels on most clubs I've been associated with. WGT's tier level handicapping would fit perfect in this format.

Imho, it would add another dimension to WGT.

It's been suggested before and if I remember rightly it was said that it wouldn't happen anytime soon.

thanks for the reply, and sad to hear of previous decisions.

Code for the app would not be much more intricate than alternate shot.

I suppose profit margin retention vs cost of product improvement for future player interactions and retention of current player interests is the viewpoint of those in control.

    Again, sad.

Best Ball Tourneys are held in Country Clubs and Community Organized Tournaments. We just have to score the rounds ourselves.

Yes it has been asked for before and would be fun, albeit a long game with randoms and I fear completion rates would be low.

I can however understand the business reasons for not implementing this, and therefore agree that programming should be used to fix known issues and add new courses and equipment - these actually help increase revenue.

As for CD's suggestion, I have never been in a CC that has run such a comp but sounds a good idea, however  labor  intensive to determine a winner.
