I am not sure where to post this, but I do believe it is something that needs to be "tweaked".

I was in a round this morning, or maybe last night, and  came to the 3rd hole on Olympic. I decided, because  I had been shooting it better and better, to lay down the 100cr to bet on the HIO. I was summoned away from computer for a while, and upon my return I mistakenly forgot to continue with challenge and took my swing meter up. As it was coming down, I realized that I had forgotten the challenge and let it pass through. I then searched to open the challenge up to place my bet....after 10 minutes of searching the screen and forums for anything...I gave up and just proceeded with the shot. I did not mean to do this, but I was a bit disoriented and in a bit of a rush to get the round finished...I was away from computer for over an hour.

I finally got my first HIO!!! I was so extremely excited! I was however very disappointed in the fact that I could not simply open the challenge back up before my shot, after accidentally swinging through, and place the wager....it cost me over 12,000 credits. I am very unhappy...because while the HIO is awesome, it won't pay for more golf balls or clubs. The 12,000+ credits would have sustained me for quite a while. I had been doing the challenges for almost every par3, but gave up until I got better acquainted with the holes to start again.

So, what I would like to see "installed" is a way to open the challenge up if you have forgotten to activate it, or accidentally close it out....because even if you forget to activate it and swing through, without hitting your ball, then the challenge can not be activated. I am not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but if it has then you know the feeling of major loss when that ball goes in the hole and you wanted to wage on it, but couldn't because you were essentially locked out.

Thanks for your time and listening.

It's in the Game Settings on the first page, first choice. IDK if it turns on and off during what you described.

**Edit- I just went to the Pebble Beach challenge where the 9th hole is one of those contests. I have them set to default off but turned them on for this. I X'd out of the challenge, let the meter run though once, refreshed the page (which basically saves the game) and after clicking Continue to finish the round the challenge was back. Sorry to tell you you could have turned it back on by refreshing your game.  :-(

I think what he is saying is he had a challenge screen open, then was away and when he came back he clicked cancel and took a practice swing, after which challenge options were gone. then when he swung, he got HIO, but couldn't do the challenge....

unfortunately, once the screen is gone, it's gone for good.

    :(

It was not a challenge screen. I went away without shooting...just at tee box. When I came back I sized up shot, decided power and counter and started to take swing...and let it run through after I realized that I hadn't activated challenge. Then I could not activate challenge in any way. Had I known about exiting out of game and coming back I would have...or will have to in the future....it was a great moment...only bettered by the sweetness of a TON of credits...at least to me...lol.

Thank you Yankee Jim for testing that...it is good to know for future reference. Much appreciated sir!
