  Sometimes I get caught playing along side a pro or a tour pro, or a masters and the

  distance off the tees is exceptionally unfair when these lower tiers have drivers with only 

  a 12 yard differential than my R1 level 98..this has been said by several others.  WGT

  has designed the tier levels so people can earn the right to buy better and more distance

  clubs. This is a reason on here, there are so many sandbaggers. Because is someone

  can play with better equipment, why should they go up a level in their tier giving them  a

  big  advantage over a legend, or a tier legend. So My suggestion is; if someone earns

  the right to go up in club power, the tees should be longer also to equal things out for a

  fair distance  differential. A legend with an R1 driver is rated a 287, a pro has a driver

  that is rated at 275, but the legends have to give  up almost  75 yards on most drives.

  There is a good possibility this could apply to the irons a player has as well. I know WGT

  is out to make money, as a business should do,. but, .in real or virtual golf, it should be a

  played  fair match with little advantage with someone's skill being the lead, not their

  equipment..

  I have personally heard from various players, that they play matches that do not move

  their score, but move their levels in order to buy better clubs If this is not  form of

  sandbagging, I don't know what is.

  Personally I would not touch a lower level for MPC.  If some one gets a kick out of beating a Legend at Kiawah B9 for fun then bully for them, as well as usually sad they think it's an achievement.

  I don't know how WGT are working scored MP/MPC these days, but personally playing some one you do not know of a lower tier for a wager? Who is trying to sucker who in those dark, shark infested waters??  Not saying you are but somewhere I would be no where near.

  The levels system is way off perfect except for business.  It is though a business and won't be changing.

  MP for fun against friends / known entities or accept the BIG risks in playing unknowns of any level in MPC.  The tricks then only go down hill from any of this:)

  I honestly don't mind too much.  It's just a risk you take.  They do it to intentionally allow lower tiers to go up if they know how to play.

  Also you eventually just learn not to match for credits vs. people with lower tiers.

  this post did not mean to play lower tiers for credits. I was meant to fix the unfairness when sandbaggers but better clubs and use lower tier tee boxes. It is like you want big boy toys but little girls tee boxes is what this is about.

  Also if it were not for some players who willing to share some things with me when I started it would have been a tough start back then. So I don't mind helping lower levels out if they ask to get better.

  I am happy to play with any level if they are willing to learn. Sure some players have then abused me and some are baggers,  possibly multis but as no credits are up for grabs it really does not concern me.

  I think it is a real concern if baggers play for credits hence the advice by others in this thread.

  And at the end of the day, if I win playing someone with the same or  equivalent  equipment despite them playing from kiddies tees it is a good day at the office. If I lose I will not lose any sleep over it. 

  Sometimes players playing from kiddies tees with top gear play from them for a good reason - they simply never have learned how to play.

  Twi - you've been here long enough to know that your Tee shot is rarely the most important shot in the match.  If a Pro or Master level player, with their Tee advantage, out drives  you - so what?  "Approach" shots (not drives) and putting are the real money shots  IRL golf and here on WGT. 

  At Level 98, you have access to the best equipment available at WGT - so why not use the better equipment?  Because of better precision or more forgiveness or both, the high level equipment produces lower scores (in the absence of physical disabilities)!  Your experience, better Irons (why no Nike VR Forged Irons?) and Wedges should pull you through.  If someone is out playing with inferior irons - then either  (1)  they probably have been 'sandbagging'  or (2) they know their equipment better than you know yours or (3) you aren't taking advantage of the high level equipment to which they have no access.
