OK i made legend some time ago and have been plodding along on the Lv 48 R1 Driver

    and Lv 32 R11 Irons .

Great clubs that have served me well but i really need to upgrade them to stay slightly competative,

I was thinking about the Nike Covert 2.0 Driver Lv85

and the Nike VR Forged Iron Set Lv85

Good Idea ??? or is there anything better for a Lv 87 Legend

There are a myriad of options for you at your level; if I were you I would go this way:

    1. Upgrade to the higher level Cleveland wedges, they are much better.

             i. Learn to handle the high end CG wedges (i.e. 90% of the time don't use spin)

    2. Wait 'till you're level 90 and go for the R11s. From all accounts the L85 VR Forgeds are good but why buy second (or third )  best? Wait for the R11s L90 isn't that far away and if you go for the L85s now you'll end up upgrading to the L97 Forgeds later. The R11s are just as good as the L97 VR Forgeds (I've owned both) and will last you a long time (so long as you can handle the fast meter).

    3. Either go for the L83 Xhot driver or wait for the SLDR at L89, both are wonderful drivers, personally I think the SLDR just edges it but they are really close.

    4. L84  R11 3W second best out there at the moment second only to the L95 R11S 3W. Although there are lots of rumours of an up and coming upgrade in this department.

I don't give advice on putters, they are a very personal issue whatever works for you.

I bought Nike irons lvl 85  and sell its a week later and keep my TM speedblade. Driver SDLR lvl 89 is just fine, you cant miss a fairway with it (in fact you can by your fault) and distance is correct, anyway alls these drivers are very close in distance, balls often do the différence.

For the putter, from what I have heard, the Master+ MAX Control, the L86? Odyssey, and the L92 Ghost Spider are good. I use the first one and it gives you excellent balance (4.5), and NINE different settings for length for 2500c. I recently made a close to career long 47ft putt recently and got a 31 (my All-time best for any 9 hole ranked course) at STA with the club.

Cheers Guys sounds like some good advice, appreciate it  :-)

I probably forgot to mention credits are tight lol so the CGs and putter will have to wait awhile.ill maybe just get the 100yd CG when i get the  longer irons to bridge the gap in distance + im happy with those clubs at the moment.

From these longer tees the weakness in my clubs/game is the longer iron shots, need more distance and extra height to stand a chance of getting close to the pin, at the moment i hit the front of the green and it goes flying past  from 160yds with full bs using the 250 credit callaways.

The thing that slightly puts me off about the R11s is the meter speed at 2.5 it might be a bit to fast ,sorta like using my current irons with the 10 credit balls, a waste of time lol

Anyways back to the surveys :-)l
