Let's try this again. Late last year I wrote that I had been a member since Oct '13, playing on an IPad and that when I tried to use my laptop to get into a tournament or match play with another member I would always end up at Pinehurst in a Closest to the Hole game. I was away from my laptop for some time and when I returned someone stole my IPad and now I only have my laptop and I am still having the same problem. I tried all of the suggestions: clear cache, browser, change browser and more but nothing seems to work. I need someone that has had this same problem and has figured out a way to fix it. I know there are people out there that know what is happening to me because I have seen posts from them with the same problem. PLEASE! Someone help me get into a game on my laptop.

Val, on the 15th Dec last year you posted that you had submitted a help request to WGT, did you get a response from that?

Some people tried to help, but I was not where my laptop was at the time and was unable to work on the problem until now. Up until that time I had received suggestions as stated in my previous post like clearing the cache and changing browsers etc. but nothing had worked. Still need to tackle the problem.

As answered in the previous reply to my posting:

Everything that you pointed out above, Scott, is true. No matter what I tried I always ended up in the CTTH on Pinehurst No.12.

I can play as a guest on any course but not under my player id. I tried to do all of the training to see if that was the problem with no good results.

I just want to be able to play against other and in tournaments from my laptop with my equipment, which I have spent quite a bit acquiring, and retain my Tour Pro Level 73.

Sorry. Re-read your question and YES someone from WGT did try to help but this is still an issue.

For the heck of it, I just tried again to get into a tournament game at Congressional. It worked. I don't know how or why, but I played the first hole with no problems other than a swing meter stutter that really screwed up my shots. Now I have to research how to fix that.

I will let you all know later if my original problem returns. But maybe it got fixed. Thanks for your interest.

    UPDATE

I loaded Maxthon.com and plan to use it as my browser for WGT. It presented a smoother swing meter, but not real smooth. I ended up shooting 1 par, 2 doubles and 6 boggies. Oh, I got a Ham and Eggs Award, whatever that is.

I will run CCleaner and try again with nothing on the machine except the Maxthon browser and see how that goes. But this is way different on the laptop than my game on the Ipad. Maybe it was because I was used to it, but I will need several practice rounds before I ask to play with/against another individual.

If you have any recommendations as to how to improve the swing meter performance further, please let me know.

    Thanks again for your interest.

Well, putting the stuttery meter aside for one minute, at least you are getting somewhere. Maxthon has a lot of fans here so you it might work well for you too, but I wouldn't be too hasty about ditching any browser too quickly, they need a little time to load up the images for the game so it might get better. But there are loads of browsers to choose from so hopefully one will be right for you.
