  I played in my country clubs par 5 tournament,shot 14 under fo 18 holes

  and my stroke average didn't go down.what's going on

  Best of Par 5 and Best of Par 3 don't count towards your average (or your ranked rounds for saturation).

  Also par is totally irrelevant to your average only your total score counts, (x2 for a 9 hole round)

  e.g. St Andrews front 9 you score a -2 34 equals a 34 x 2 that will be a 68 on your average.

  Merion Back 9 you shoot a +2 36 equals a 36 x 2 that will be a 72 on your average.
