    You're not being cheated.

As a Legend your scoring average is based on your most recent 500 ranked round scores if your scoring average is saturated.

Have you played 500 ranked rounds as a Legend so your scoring average is saturated?

So a score of 59 (72 - 13 = 59) won't change your average much, particularly if you have a lot of scores in that group of 500 close to your before-the-round-of-59 scoring average.

FWIW - the number of strokes you are over or under par doesn't mean the same thing for each golf course. Minus 13 strokes on a par 70 course yields a score of 57.

    +1!

If you are short of saturation (a few less than 500 Legend rounds in count),
    8 shots (67-59) difference influence the average by about 8/500 = 0.016.

From the 300 rounds which I guessed below, 8 shots (67-59) would influence the average by about 8/300 = 0.027.

Your observation of a 0.02 drop only affirms this calculation guess considering rounding impacts .

You better choose another status line!

.I'm afraid that the above number of 500 scores isn't quite correct.

Starting from the rant in your Status,

    craftyshafty:
my last 6 rounds have been 62,63,59,67 for 18 holes and 33,34 for 9 holes can u please explain why my scoring average has changed from 67.46 to just 67.33

I tried to follow your average by spreadsheet calculation. I got very good results concerning your current average, starting with round #260 (assumption) and a 67.46 ave. at Feb. 16, but it won't fit precisely to the 67.33 ave. which you named there.

No offence intended because it's difficult to verify if all pages have been updated or if memory serves well, but not all of the averages given by you seem to be correct.

Therefore I can only guess that you might have played around 305 rounds towards the Legend average before today.

    Never mind - have fun!
