Quick question as there was nothing in the FAQs and couldn't find a thread that answered it.
If a Country Club Tournament has been setup with an entry fee of 'X' amount of CR and the Credit Payout Rules are set to Top 10 (40%, 20%, 10%, 9%, 6%, 5%, 4%, 3%, 2%, 1%) but lets say only 3 players enter the tournament what happens to the surplus credits?
Presumably 1st place gets 40%, 2nd gets 20% and 3rd gets 10% (so 70% of that payout goes to the 3 entrants) but what about the other unaccounted for 30%? Does WGT fill their coffers or is the difference split evenly among the three entrants?
On the one hand I'm aware (with CR's in play) WGT is a gambling site and there's an element of risk but on the other hand it seems harsh if players enter a tournament and loses credits because not enough players entered so regardless of where they finish they stand to lose or gain very little.
If I were going to lose paid or earned credits I'd like to lose because I was beaten by the competition not because of a lack of entrants.
This is just one of many examples where this could happen and I have no idea how WGT handles this, so just putting it out there and hoping it will help those who don't know understand better.
