i know at the other tiers after so many rounds your average gets to a point it stops going up with ever bad round i know at legend after 400 rnds then when TL came out it added another 100 at that time but is there so many rounds at TL before you level out so to speak as to where ever time u shoot a 33 ur not going up in avg..Was just wondering not that avg really matters anymore lol

I'm in the same boat. Had a 58.80 avg early on from the weekly no-wind tourney (savored the moment, as I knew I would not see anything below 60 again for a few more months...or years). I do miss the no-wind tourneys, though. They were GREAT in helping me to map courses, club distances, landing areas, etc. I saw the RSG 9 hole unlimited and thought 'Great!!", now I can do some notes on that course. But, when I went to play....80mph winds :( and Oakmont, too :(

    I'm curious now.

WHY do they (WGT) have a saturation level for Tour Legend's? It's the top tier, there is no higher tier to try to advance to so wouldn't it be logical for us all (and the players themselves) to see their real average rather than some artificially reduced one?

These are the players and level we all aspire to reach, it would be really disappointing to get there and find these players I look up to have 'real' averages on a par with my current one.

Score history is the place to look to start to get a better feel at any rate.

Some TLs have incredible averages then look closer and things like only 3 RRs played in the tier, and so who could tell??.  Some may play only Beth F9 in their CC (same as at Legend except no zero wind free comps at TL that I have seen), and a Whoop Dee Doo low average.

In the end even the top players are not going to shoot what you might expect as often as you think, just going by the best ever 500 average.  Their score histories (consistency) are impressive enough though.  Top players for a reason, no mistake:)

So much WGT could do with the stats, but I doubt one overall average can be too indicative of much anyway.

    +1,

but there has always(?) been a saturation for the top tier. It was 400 for Legends before the TLs came, and probably they just stuck to it habitually. My best guess is that the average calculation won't work without a limit no., and they don't bother to modify this innocent programming corner. And, when the next tier may come, they might raise the TL limit by 200 / 300 / 500...

Not a single information on hand here.

Why do they have one at all, at any level? You shoot what you shoot..add & add then divide...bingo!

Sandbaggers shooting high outside the important tournaments would be able to sandbag forever ;)
