Why  is progression through ranks based on e.g. your best 50 ( for example) scores.

If I spent all my time playing SA or Kiawah for example my scores would soon become really low.  However I am really not that good. I have just got my score down to 64 , but don't want to get down to the 63 just yet and so will now need to focus on some other courses.

Wouldn't it be better if there was a "stroke index" for courses onto which you could add or subtract values to give a better idea of how good your score is ( all 66's are not the same). The easiest way would be to find the mean/median/mode of all scores for a given course, from all the scores posted for the level which you're at. Then your overall score could be adjusted to take account of this difficulty/easy factor, . Given the new indicators which we appear to be getting on the course selection menu, this must be something which WGT already calculate  ?

Also having e.g. attained Master/Legend ,etc.. wouldn't it be better if you could also be demoted - after all this is what happens in the real world.

Again, this could be related to your last  e.g. 50 rounds (not just the good ones).  Obviously the danger here is that people start quitting rounds which are not going great - again this could be addressed by including a "quit game percentage" score also..
