Being able to create a realistic image so that the player is directly in the middle of the screen or close to it is not hard at all.Especially since the image is static versus other games can do it with constantly moving images and still provide a very real looking view. The screen already has software generated images on it already.
Its not hard at all, wgt just doesnt choose to invest the time to do it for whatever reason.
Then would you mind explaining how they can do that without creating a virtual 3D game world?
The game we see is just a load of stitched together HD photographs with some pretty accurate topography of the fairways and greens (and rough etc). If they don't have a photograph from the required angle and the game isn't 3D rendered they cannot just shift the photo left or right as that would still not get the required angle to the pin.
Now, I'll be the first to admit I'm anything but a computer expert so if there is a way to do this just using HD photographs and not using a 3D model I'll bow to your superior knowledge.
