This has ALWAYS been the case with this game, but why can't you even the spin out to make game more realistic instead of how It Is at present.

I'm talking about the fact of when you use backspin and land short of pin (maybe a foot or so even like my shot at Oakmont 13 just now) and with the nike balls the ball will bounce back a yard or 2 with first backspin bounce and carry on spinning back so instead of landing close to pin you end up between 3 to 5 yards back due to the back spin.  This I don't mind because thats the risk you take with high spin balls and clubs especially If there Is also a slight downslope.  The thing that makes this game unrealistic and a bit DIS-JOINTED is when you give the same full back spin like I did on #14 but lands over 3 yards past the pin, ON THE STEEP SLOPE THATS BEHIND THE PIN the ball bounces back less than a foot and stops dead.  Why don't we get back spin when we land past the pin (usually a forward bounce if anything.lol) but get extreme back spin if we land parallel or slightly short of pin?  It just shows that WGT have tried to include a ecxlusion zone around the pin.lol

There are many shots on here that defy logic,  I have felt for years that none of the programmers of this game have ever broken a hundred on a putt putt course.

I realize it is difficult to get everything correct but some of the things you see happen is beyond belief.  Putts that you know when above the hole that will roll forever if you miss.  Yet if you are at 90 degrees of the hole and putt it up a square or so will stop dead 2 inches from the hole on its move down the slope.

Not repairing the issue you have had or the issues others have had means very little to these guys.  They don't know the difference between up and down it seems.

I'm not a physics major, but isn't it possible that the backspin didn't work well "beyond the hole" because of

    chrisironsbones:

...THE STEEP SLOPE THATS BEHIND THE PIN ...

A backspinning ball will react differently on a flat surface than on a sloped surface.

    Just sayin'

The spin is wierd in a few cases - the situation you mentioned being one of them.  RSG hole # 16 is a prime example of this.  Land short of the pin and the ball will rip backwards at least 2 yards.  Land even two yards past the hole and it will bounce forward (the slope of this green doesn't change that drastically from below to above the hole).

#2 - Hitting a shot with say an 8-iron with full or nearly full back spin will cause the ball to stop dead or even back up a little with any wind except for a headwind (when the spin should be the most exaggerated) which will allow the ball to rollout a couple of yards.

#3 - Sand - I know this one has been beaten to death but getting zero spin from any of the bunkers on this game is not realistic for sure.

+1 Spam. that is all i'm going to say. The stupidity shown by some of these posters is mind blowing. Sometimes if you do not know what you are talking about..... best to keep mouth shut!

No way no how ever played the game. If did was putt-putt.  LMAO!
