Meter problems can be pretty much fixed at your end. Ads can be avoided by downloading free software. It pays to ask advice on here with problems rather than threaten to leave.

You create your own fun and enjoyment by choosing your focus and your attitude.

Did you notice after being gone 22 months ...... ?

WGT is still here, has more players and more rounds played per month, more golf courses and game types, a larger selection of clubs, balls, etc, than they did 22 months ago.

I've played pretty much daily for 25 month, no meter BS that wasn't a direct result of less than optimal computer settings or maintenance on my part.

I have had 6 total visits in 25 months to the Lobby during games, and online advertising is a ubiquitous part of life on the Internet for any 'free' service.

FWIW - I have a 3 Mbps cable modem connection, Windows 7 OS, and use the Chrome browser, and no slow loading issues. In multi-player games I'm usually waiting on the other guy or his computer.

Expound on this free software to get rid of the ads, cause I spend way to much money on this game to have to watch those stupid things.

Look up Adblock or Adblock plus, (other products also available).

    Greetings,

This is a follow up to my original post, an apology to WGT and maybe a little help for others who are having issues. After much time spent scouring the internet and trying countless ways to improve the lag in my meter which I always believed to a certain degree that it was a metric built into the software; I became very frustrated and aggravated that the meter would freeze momentarily then go turbo and race across the screen, and after losing many balls and even being sent to the lobby on several occasions I started to realize they could be related. I noticed a glitch in my HD videos playing in full screen but no glitch when minimized to a smaller window....... after searching and searching all possibilities like malware or software related problems I began looking at hardware and in doing so I came across a post on the internet by a guy who was experiencing the same video glitch and lag time when it came to online battle gaming, he finally figured out it was caused by a wireless optical mouse that was about 4 years old and had begun to malfunction which in turn interfered with the browser........ In short, new mouse..... Meter smooth as can be, not even a bit of chatter........Sorry for the rant........Thanks to those of you who offered up the tips, they were all considered in my quest to find the problem....and I am now ad free as well......Thx

You can almost certainly solve your meter issue by switching the internet browser that you use to either the OPERA browser (best I've found by far - but only use it if you have Windows 7 or Windows 8 as your OS) or the WATERFOX browser.  Both are very good to use for playing on WGT and the OPERA browser has virtually NO meter problems while playing this game here.  But do NOT use the OPERA browser if you do not have Windows 7 or Windows 8 as your OS.  It will create all sorts of problems on your computer if you try to use it without W 7 or W 8.
