  Which club is recommended, the 3-wood or the hybrid? I'm looking primarily for accuracy and control. Are they roughly the same regarding accuracy/control and the 3-wood gives the extra 15 yards?

  I would wait until the Big Bertha at 89, you won't regret it. It will fly far (245). The L89 one is more precise, lower forgiveness, but the meter speed is the same (3.5), and it WILL spin more with higher trajectory. Also, have a 3rd wedge at the 60 degree, with either the CG16 (L78) or ATV (L87), removing the hybrid. Everything else looks great.

  In WGT Hybrids are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard! They do NOTHING that cannot be done at least as well and often much better by another club.

  Rough? Punch out with an iron (or a 3W if you have more advanced clubs)

  Distance? Get a good 3W or a good iron set and use the 3i.

  Caving in your caddies skull?  ................... yeah ok, maybe they do have a use.

  Apart from when I play a round in the starter gear parallel tour I don't think I've even hit a ball with a hybrid.  I bought the R11 one but sold it again almost immediately, utter waste of money.  What a wally.

  The L89 BB 3 wood really is a monster of a club.  It brings so many par 5 greens into 2 shot range it's unreal.  You do need to either hit or get very close to the ding though, the slight lack of forgiveness does make a difference.

  Get it right though and with a bit of a tail wind it'll hit even a L33 Cally 300 yards.
