I'd stick with what you have, there really isn't anything better until you get to L48 and the middle R1 becomes available.
There ain't half some great gear available at low levels these days.

The next purchase I would make would be an upgrade on your wedges when you level up a bit- but the way the game is playing at the moment I would not waste any money on them.

My precise idea to this subject are the lvl41 Pings. The lvl38 ATV are perhaps a tad better but also a "tad" more expensive.
Lvl 38 @23,000 XPs, lvl 41 @30,000.
