philking62: DINGED THE SHOT..and it goes hard left into the water...my aim was about 2 or 3 ft to the left of the pin...not in the middle of the lake...
All I can do is take your word, but as a rule there is no way a dinged shot with good clubs should react like that. Possibly you accidentally dragged the maker is my only thought.
My experience is most wtf shots are our doing, and those "dings" are often not even close to the ding line and wilh full bs and a high level ball, results can be bad.
With the previous putt, this is why many players use the pitch/chip view and run over the line of the putt. Orange does not mean the putt is all downhill, it could well be on an uphill incline closer to the hole, so a fast start to the putt slowing down. This is on a lot of holes. Also continue to look after the hole - a sign the putt will slow/gain speed.
