Not always time to do a full 18 everyday

    Thanks

    go to virtual us open
    click create group
    click strokeplay
change course to random - after the first click it goes back to pinhurst so do it again and it will stay at random
    click change game mode
    click strokeplay again
now you can set up the course for front, back or 18 holes ranked or practice rounds.

You can also play it in Uneven Lies in practice mode. :)

On the Game Client...  Under Multuplayer.

    Click 'create a game'

Then Click on the picture of Pinhurst (first pic)...  this will bring you to the USGA page.

    Click 'Experience pinhurst no.2'

Then Click  what ever type of game you want.

I thought this to be a bit easier.

The short way only leads me to a MP game - apparently only the change to "random course" breaks this spell and allows for single play.

Thanks for the reminder Cerino! I like to play three holes practice before breakfast!

Doesn't really matter, but did you try the method I said.

Yes. I named it "the short way".

This is what happens here when following your description:

When "Experience Pinehurst" has been chosen, a click on "create a game" is necessary, compare Cerino's step #2. To continue straightforward as you proposed will lead to a MP game. Only the detour via "random course" allows for single play.

I understood the question to be how to play it alone and choose the front or back over just being able to play alone in the qualifier. The "long" method is a way to make Pinehurst like all the other courses as far as playing choices. WGT won't be setting it up like the other courses until after the VUSO. I copied what I wrote from another members post(Marty Flanagan) who discovered a way to trick the system.

The 'short" method of course is easier if one wants to play in a group.

MP vs. SP - maybe the missing link between mantis and I.
